Fido Fuels was born out of a deep love and commitment to dogs. Founded by Traci Needles, a German Shepherd breeder with nearly 30 years of experience through her renowned California-based kennel, Nadelhaus German Shepherds. Over the years, Traci has poured her heart into raising and caring for these majestic dogs, dedicating countless early mornings and late nights to ensuring their health and happiness. But a deeply personal loss sparked a transformative journey—a journey that led to the creation of Fido Fuels.

Our Story

Years ago, one of Traci’s most beloved German Shepherds—a sweet, gentle soul she describes as her “heart dog”—was diagnosed with cancer and passed away at the young age of four. Devastated by the loss and determined to make a difference, Traci began researching how diet impacts a dog’s overall health. What she discovered changed everything. She learned that the heavily processed kibble many dogs eat is often filled with chemicals, additives, and ingredients she couldn’t even pronounce. Her journey led her to raw feeding for her dogs—a diet built on fresh, nutrient-rich, all-natural ingredients.

At Fido Fuels, every product reflects Traci’s passion and hard-earned knowledge. About the Founder

Traci Needles is the founder and owner of Fido Fuels™ and Nadelhaus German Shepherds™. Traci has been breeding German Shepherds since 1996. With nearly 30 years of experience with German Shepherds, she has extensive knowledge about this incredible working dog breed. Her mission is to breed German Shepherd dogs that have the ability to obtain Schutzhund titles and the highest possible conformation ratings. The German Shepherds she breeds are from 100% German bloodlines and Nadelhaus is a member of the GSDCA-WDA and SV of Germany.
