Fido Fuels was born out of a deep love and commitment to dogs. Founded by Traci Needles, a German Shepherd breeder with nearly 30 years of experience through her renowned California-based kennel, Nadelhaus German Shepherds. Over the years, Traci has poured her heart into raising and caring for these majestic dogs, dedicating countless early mornings and late nights to ensuring their health and happiness. But a deeply personal loss sparked a transformative journey—a journey that led to the creation of Fido Fuels.

Years ago, one of Traci’s most beloved German Shepherds—a sweet, gentle soul she describes as her “heart dog”—was diagnosed with cancer and passed away at the young age of four. Devastated by the loss and determined to make a difference, Traci began researching how diet impacts a dog’s overall health. What she discovered changed everything. She learned that the heavily processed kibble many dogs eat is often filled with chemicals, additives, and ingredients she couldn’t even pronounce.
